Cement Industry

Cement is a binder used in construction that sets, hardens and adheres to other materials to bind them together, and is seldom used on its own, but rather to bind sand and gravel aggregate into concrete and mortar. The cement industry is a major global manufacturing sector: world production of cement was about 4.4 billion tonnes in 2021, with roughly half produced in China, followed by India and Vietnam.
