WH Group Limited

WH Group is a publicly traded, Hong Kong-headquartered multinational meat and food processing company and the largest meat producer in China, handling hog raising, consumer meat products, flavoring products and logistics. Founded in 1958 by the Luohe municipal government and formerly known as Shuanghui Group before its 2014 rename, it is chaired by Wan Long and reports about US$24.1 billion in revenue with roughly 101,000 employees. It trades on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as a Hang Seng Index constituent and owns Smithfield Foods, acquired in 2013 in a deal valued at about $7.1 billion including debt.
