This child group collects United Kingdom Brewers members headquartered in England, by far the largest of the three nation groups this atlas splits the United Kingdom Brewers group into. It spans historic London brewers dating to the seventeenth century (the Anchor Brewery in Southwark, Truman's Black Eagle Brewery near Brick Lane, Courage), the great regional brewing towns that grew around Burton upon Trent's mineral-rich water (Samuel Allsopp and Sons, the Burton Brewery Company, Coors Brewers, tracing to Bass Brewers), the surviving independent family owned regional English brewers (Fuller's, Shepherd Neame, Adnams, Thwaites, Hook Norton, Timothy Taylor, Samuel Smith Old Brewery), and the modern English craft beer movement spanning dozens of counties from Cornwall (Sharp's, St Austell, Skinner's) to Yorkshire (Black Sheep, Theakston) and East Anglia (Woodforde's, Adnams). At 118 members this remains the largest of the three nation groups by a wide margin, matching England's dominant share of the United Kingdom brewing industry by both historic and present day company count.
