The Foss Brewery was a brewery in Oslo, Norway, started in 1836 as the Ytteborg Brewery on Hausmanns gate. As water in the lower Aker River grew too contaminated for brewing during the 19th century, the company needed more space and relocated in 1897 to new premises further upriver, above Oslo's Grunerlokka district at Upper Falls.
