Steam Brewing Company is a New Zealand microbrewery located in Otahuhu, Auckland. It was founded in October 1995 as the brewery for the Cock and Bull brewpub in East Tamaki, and it currently brews beer for the Cock and Bull chain of taverns as well as the retail beer Epic Pale Ale and several contracted beers. In August 2004 it purchased Auckland Breweries to meet increased production demands, and in October 2007 it sold the Epic Brewing Company and the Epic brand to its then head brewer and general manager, Luke Nicholas, though Epic beers continue to be brewed by Steam Brewing Company.
