Northern Breweries was a Canadian brewery with facilities in Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, founded in 1907. It was known for its distinctive draft ball, draft beer packaged in a large plastic ball rather than a traditional metal keg. The company ceased operations in 2006; its Sudbury facility was later purchased for redevelopment and its Sault Ste. Marie plant was damaged by arson in 2013.
