Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited is a New Zealand dairy cooperative headquartered in Auckland, formed in 2001 through the merger of the country's two largest dairy cooperatives and the New Zealand Dairy Board. Owned collectively by thousands of New Zealand dairy farmers, it is the country's largest company and one of the world's largest dairy exporters, processing and marketing milk into products including milk powder, cheese and butter for global markets.
