Glanbia plc is an Irish multinational nutrition company, established in 1997 and headquartered in Kilkenny, Ireland, that owns a range of consumer brands producing food supplements and ingredients. The company operates through three divisions, Glanbia Nutritionals, Glanbia Performance Nutrition and its joint ventures, offering protein supplements, energy bars, dairy products and dairy-free alternatives, with its Optimum Nutrition brand notable in sports nutrition. Glanbia employs more than 5,500 people in over 30 countries and distributes products to about 130 nations, with North America its largest market alongside operations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
