Gildan Activewear Inc.

Gildan Activewear Inc. is a Canadian manufacturer of branded clothing, primarily undecorated blank activewear such as t-shirts, hoodies, and fleeces that are subsequently decorated by screen printing companies. It is headquartered in the KPMG Tower in Montreal, Quebec, and was founded in 1984 by Glenn Chamandy and Greg Chamandy. The company also supplies branded and private label athletic, casual, and dress socks to retail companies including Gold Toe Brands and PowerSox, and manufactures socks for Under Armour and New Balance. Gildan operates manufacturing facilities in Honduras and the Caribbean and employs approximately 50,000 people worldwide.
