Entain plc, formerly known as GVC Holdings, is an international sports betting and gambling company headquartered in Douglas, Isle of Man. It was founded in 2004 in Luxembourg as Gaming VC Holdings S.A. by a group of American businesspeople led by Steve Barlow, initially to acquire the online casino Casino-Club, and grew through major acquisitions including Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment for 1.1 billion pounds in 2016 and Ladbrokes Coral for 4 billion pounds in 2018. The company operates consumer-facing gambling brands including bwin, Coral, Ladbrokes, PartyPoker and Sportingbet in more than 30 markets, employing about 30,000 people and generating revenue of 5,325.4 million pounds in 2025. Entain is listed on the London Stock Exchange as a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
