Subaru of Indiana Automotive, usually shortened to SIA, is the assembly plant company at Lafayette, Indiana, and Subaru's only factory outside Asia. It began in 1989 as Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, a joint venture of Fuji Heavy Industries and Isuzu, and Subaru bought out Isuzu in 2003. Besides Subaru models such as the Legacy, Outback, Baja, Tribeca, Impreza, Ascent, Crosstrek and Forester, it built the Isuzu Rodeo and Honda Passport twins and, under contract with Toyota, the Toyota Camry from 2007 to 2016.
