Riley Motor

Riley was a Coventry firm that started as the Bonnick Cycle Company, was bought by William Riley Jr. in 1890 and moved from bicycles into cars at the end of the nineteenth century. It made sporting cars of high reputation until it joined the Nuffield Organization in 1938, and it was folded into the British Motor Corporation and then British Leyland. British Leyland ended Riley production in 1969, and BMW holds the trademark today.
