Carbodies was a coachbuilder and taxi maker based in Coventry, England. It made standardised bodies for car companies without their own coachbuilding, and after the war built the bodies of the Austin FX3 London taxi and finished the cars. From 1958 it built the body and assembled the Austin FX4, took over the FX4 chassis line from British Leyland in 1971, and in 1982 took over the whole cab. It was later renamed London Taxis International and then The London Taxi Company.
