Dorel Industries Inc. is a Canadian company based in Montreal, Quebec, which designs and manufactures juvenile products and home furnishings, formed in 1987 through the merger of Dorel Co. Ltd., founded in 1962 by Leo Schwartz, with Ridgewood Industries. The company operates through its Dorel Juvenile division, selling car seats, play yards and other infant products under brands including Safety 1st, Maxi-Cosi and Quinny, and its Dorel Home division, producing furniture under brands such as Ameriwood Industries and The Novogratz, after selling its former bicycle-focused Dorel Sports division to the Dutch firm Pon Holdings in 2021.
