Ford Lio Ho Motor is the Taiwanese company that assembles Ford vehicles and acts as the main Ford dealer in Taiwan. It was formed in 1972, with Ford holding seventy percent and the rest held by investors from the former Lio Ho company that had assembled Toyotas. It began assembly in 1973 with the Cortina, Escort and Granada, later added Mazda-based models, built a diesel Focus in 2007 and runs a design centre in Taipei.
