Chery Jaguar Land Rover is an equally shared joint venture between Chery of China and Jaguar Land Rover, set up so that Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles could be made inside mainland China. Its first assembly plant stands at Changshu, and the first Range Rover Evoque left the line there late in 2014. The company is recorded here as the builder of Chinese-built Evoque model years, kept apart from Jaguar Land Rover, which remains the marque holder and manufacturer.
