Shan Herald Agency for News, known as SHAN, is a media organization covering Myanmar with a particular focus on Shan State. It was established in Shan State in 1991 and moved its operations to Chiang Mai, Thailand, in 1996, developing as part of the ethnic and exile media sector that emerged around Myanmar borders during the 1990s.
