Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) is the state news agency of North Korea, headquartered in Pyongyang and founded in 1946. It is the sole official source of domestic and international news within North Korea, and all other North Korean media outlets are required to draw their reporting from its releases, making it a primary channel through which the North Korean government communicates its official positions abroad.
