StudioCanal

StudioCanal is a French film and television production and distribution company headquartered in Paris, a subsidiary of the media group Canal+. It traces its lineage to the French production and distribution operations built up around Canal+ from the 1980s onward and adopted the StudioCanal name in 1990, later expanding its library considerably through the 2012 acquisition of the historic British studio Ealing Studios' catalog and UK distributor Optimum Releasing. It ranks among Europe's largest film and television production and distribution companies, financing and distributing both European productions and English-language films through subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia.
