Techland S.A. is a Polish video game developer and publisher headquartered in Wroclaw, founded in 1991 by Pawel Marchewka, who began by distributing foreign software in Poland before the company created its own titles. Techland developed the Call of Juarez series beginning in 2006 and became known internationally for the survival horror game Dead Island in 2011 and the subsequent Dying Light series.
