Slovenian Press Agency

The Slovenian Press Agency, known by its initials STA, is Slovenia national news agency, founded on June 20, 1991, shortly before the country independence. It is organized as a limited liability company under the government Communication Office and is publicly funded, with headquarters in Ljubljana and bureaus in Brussels, Zagreb and New York. STA publishes up to 300 daily reports in Slovene and 50 in English, distributing news to state institutions, companies and embassies, and employed about 80 people as of 2023.
