Makfax is an independent news agency in North Macedonia, founded in 1992 as the first private news agency in the country and the wider South East European region, and broadcasting continuously since May 1993. It was founded by journalist Risto Popovski, with Kristijan Landov serving as editor in chief since 2023. Makfax is a member of the South East Europe Media Organization, an affiliate of the International Press Institute, and it is among the most visited Macedonian news sites, reporting over one million page views a month.
