The Catalan News Agency is a news agency owned by the government of Catalonia through the public corporation Intracatalonia SA. Operating since 1999, it was one of the first digital news agencies created in Europe and was an early adopter of information technology, remote work and decentralised organisation in a virtual journalistic environment.
