The Syrian Arab News Agency, known as SANA, is Syria's state-owned news agency, founded June 24, 1965 and headquartered in Damascus under the Ministry of Information. It publishes news stories and photographs in Arabic, English, French, Kurdish, Spanish and Turkish, producing more than 500 news stories and 150 photos a day, and served as the Syrian government's official news channel through the civil war before the agency's operations transitioned following the fall of the Assad government in December 2024.
