Avisenes Nyhetsbyra (ANB) is a Norwegian news agency based in Oslo, founded in 1912 as Socialdemokratisk Pressekontor and renamed to its current name on September 1, 2001. The agency is owned by 31 Norwegian newspapers together with A-pressen and delivers current news, sports information, and consumer news to Norwegian local and regional newspapers, radio, and television. Since entering a partnership with Norsk Telegrambyra in 2007, ANB has focused on distributing exclusive stories and services to subscribers rather than a daily wire service.
