Interfax-Ukraine is a Ukrainian news agency founded on November 24, 1992 by ten people in Kharkiv before relocating to Kyiv in 1993, publishing political and economic news in Ukrainian, Russian, English and German from a 50-seat press center. Owned by Andriy Martynenko, it has been used as a source by international outlets including Reuters and Bloomberg, and its longtime director Oleksandr Martynenko led the agency from 1992 to 1998 and again from 2003 until his death in 2024.
