The Austria Press Agency, known by its German name Austria Presse Agentur or APA, is Austria's national news agency and leading information provider, founded in 1849 and headquartered in Vienna. It is structured as a cooperative owned by Austrian newspapers and the national broadcaster ORF, and as of 2023 it employed 511 people and generated about 75.8 million euros in annual revenue. The agency operates a subsidiary, APA-OTS Originaltext-Service GmbH, which handles press related service contracts, and it supplies news content to media outlets across Austria.
