Central News Agency is Taiwan's national and oldest news agency, founded on April 1, 1924 in Guangzhou by the Kuomintang and now a state-run non-profit headquartered in Taipei. It distributes news in Chinese, English and Japanese, the latter under its Focus Taiwan brand, operating roughly thirty locations worldwide with about three hundred staff.
