Jang Media Group, also known as the Geo Group, is a Pakistani media conglomerate founded by Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman at the end of the Second World War and headquartered in Karachi. It publishes the Urdu-language Daily Jang and the English-language The News International, and operates the Geo Television Network's news, entertainment and sports channels across Pakistan and internationally in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and the Middle East. Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman serves as the group's editor-in-chief, and the group is a subsidiary of the Dubai-based Independent Media Corporation.
