Relativity Media

Relativity Media is an American film production and finance company founded in 2004 by Ryan Kavanaugh, which first built its reputation not by making films itself but by pioneering structured financing arrangements that supplied capital to major Hollywood studios in exchange for a share of a slate of their films' profits. It later moved into producing and distributing its own films directly, including Limitless and Immortals, positioning itself for a time as a genuine new studio rather than purely a financing vehicle. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2015 and again in 2018, and its business has operated at a much reduced scale since.
