Neon is an American independent film distribution company headquartered in Los Angeles, founded in 2017 by Tom Quinn and Tim League, the latter also the founder of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain. It built its reputation distributing acclaimed international and independent films, most notably Bong Joon-ho's Parasite, which became the first non-English-language film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2020, and it distributed Sean Baker's Anora to the same award in 2025. The company has positioned itself as a boutique alternative to the major studios' specialty divisions, prioritizing festival acquisitions and awards-season campaigns.
