Victor Studios

Victor Studios was a motion picture company and film studio founded in 1912 by actress Florence Lawrence and director Harry Solter in Fort Lee, New Jersey, then a center of America's early motion picture industry. The studio produced numerous film shorts starring Lawrence alongside actors including Owen Moore and King Baggot, with most productions directed by Solter. Lawrence and Solter sold the studio in 1913 when the Universal Film Manufacturing Company consolidated multiple studios, and Universal continued operating the Victor name until fully absorbing it into Universal Pictures in 1917.
