Odesa Film Studio

Odesa Film Studio is a Ukrainian, formerly Soviet, film studio in Odesa, Ukraine, established on May 23, 1919, making it one of the first and oldest studios in the former Russian Empire and Soviet Union. It produces motion pictures and television films as a private joint stock company in which the government of Ukraine owns more than half the shares, and it served as the main production facility of the All Ukrainian Photo Cinema Administration before being reorganized into Ukrainafilm in 1930. Together with Dovzhenko Film Studios, it remains one of Ukraine's only state owned major film producers, with a roughly 7 hectare complex that includes three production pavilions, a film school, and a cinema museum holding more than 12,000 archival items.
