Bauer Media Group

Bauer Media Group is a German multimedia conglomerate headquartered in Hamburg, founded in 1875 when Johann Andreas Ludolph Bauer, a lithographer, opened a printing shop. The privately held company is led by Yvonne Bauer, who became chief executive in November 2010 and holds an 85 percent ownership stake. Bauer publishes more than 600 magazines and over 400 digital products and operates 50 radio and TV stations, along with print, postal, distribution, and marketing services, and it expanded into outdoor advertising across Europe after acquiring Clear Channel Europe in April 2025. The group employs about 11,000 people across 17 countries, with regional divisions including H Bauer UK, Bauer Media Audio, Bauer Media Australia and New Zealand, and Bauer Media Group USA.
