Media Prima

Media Prima Berhad is Malaysia's largest integrated media conglomerate, based at Balai Berita in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Established on 27 November 2000 as Profitune Sdn. Bhd., the company took the Media Prima name in June 2002 and began operating under it in September 2003 following a restructuring of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad's media assets. It runs four terrestrial television channels, five radio stations, the New Straits Times Press newspaper group, and the Tonton streaming service, employing more than 6,000 people and forming, alongside Astro, one half of Malaysia's broadcast media duopoly.
