Konami Group Corporation, commonly known as Konami, is a Japanese multinational entertainment company headquartered in Tokyo, founded in Osaka in 1969 and long active as a video game developer and publisher alongside businesses in trading cards, pachinko and slot machines, arcade cabinets, and health and fitness clubs across Japan. Its video game franchises include Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania, Contra and the long-running Pro Evolution Soccer/eFootball and Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card and video game lines. Konami restructured its corporate group under the Konami Group Corporation holding name in 2022, consolidating its gaming, sports, health club and other divisions under separate operating subsidiaries.
