Klei Entertainment Inc. is a Canadian video game development company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, founded in July 2005 by Jamie Cheng, a former artificial intelligence programmer at Relic Entertainment who funded the studio's start with his own savings and a loan from his brother. Klei is best known for the games Don't Starve and Oxygen Not Included, and became a subsidiary of Chinese conglomerate Tencent on January 25, 2021.
