Montsame is the official state-owned news agency of Mongolia, founded in 1921 and headquartered in Ulaanbaatar. Its name is an acronym for Mongolyn Tsakhilgaan Medee, meaning Mongolian Electronic News, and it maintains permanent correspondents in Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian aimag centers, Beijing and Moscow.
