Rossiya Segodnya is a Russian state-owned media group headquartered in Moscow, created on December 9, 2013 by consolidating the former RIA Novosti news agency and the Voice of Russia radio service. Its mandate is to present Russian state policy and Russian life and society to audiences abroad, and it operates platforms including Sputnik, RIA Novosti and inoSMI under chief editor Margarita Simonyan.
