Corporate Events

Named events in a company's history with lasting significance beyond routine operation: mergers, breakups, initial public offerings, bankruptcies, fraud and financial scandals, antitrust actions, and product safety or operational crises, organized below into seven groups by the kind of event. An event belongs here when its subject is the specific named occurrence itself. Excludes: the company or companies the event happened to, catalogued under Companies and Brands and cross-linked to the events in its own history rather than repeating them here; and the corporate law that governs a given kind of event, such as antitrust statute or bankruptcy code, which Law catalogues, cross-linked by a same-as edge where the legal framework and the named event genuinely describe the same regulatory action.
